Palm sugar, a treasure from the Mekong Delta

This project is a collaboration between myself and Foodmap—a young, dynamic startup with a bold mission: to bring Vietnamese agricultural products to the global stage. Together, we aim to showcase the incredible potential of Vietnam as a source of high-quality, organic foods that support healthier lifestyles and help reduce the risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Palm sugar is a product from the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. It is traditionally harvested by hand from the tops of palmyra palm trees and then slowly cooked over an open flame for hours to thicken. Palm sugar has a distinct aroma and a mild, pleasant sweetness. This is a product I’m truly proud of, as it has been successfully exported and is now available in markets around the world.

There’s something quite amusing about this brand—their logo looks surprisingly similar to a certain well-known website… you know the one! I did offer to help them design a more refined logo, but as a young startup, they believe this playful coincidence will actually make their brand more memorable to customers.
